NOTICE TO BIDDERS REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND FUEL TANKS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF FREEPORT NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK
Notice is hereby given that the Purchasing Agent of the Incorporated Village of Freeport, New York will receive sealed proposals for “REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND FUEL TANKS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS» until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, JUNE 4, 2019 in the Main Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 46 North Ocean Avenue, Freeport, New York, 11520, at which time and place they will be opened publicly and read aloud.
Specifications, proposal and proposed contracts may be obtained by visiting the Village website at www.freeportny.gov or at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, Municipal Building, 1 st Floor, 46 North Ocean Avenue, Freeport, New York, 11520, from 9:00 A.M. on Monday May 20, 2019 until 4:00 P.M. Friday May 31, 2019.
There is no fee for a set of bid documents.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder’s bond in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid insuring to the benefit of the Village of Freeport, or a certified check of not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, made payable to the Village of Freeport, to assure the entering of the successful bidder into a acceptable contract.
The work consists of removal of two gasoline tanks and one diesel tank at the Department of Public Works Complex, 355 Albany Avenue, Freeport, NY 11520.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received and subject to these reservations, shall award the contract to the lowest qualified and responsible bidder. Bids which, in the opinion of the Board, are unbalanced shall be rejected.
In submitting a bid, bidders agree not to withdraw their bid within fortyfive (45) days after the date for the opening thereof.
