IMMEDIATE VACANCIES

Director of Instructional Technology and Library Media Services

Primary Function: Direct and oversee the integration of technology into the classroom. Develop technology curricula and select technology-oriented learning tools for classrooms. Assist in the development of online publications or programs. Train teachers, staff and administrators, as needed, in classroom technology.

Qualifications:

  • – Candidates must possess valid New York State SDA/SDL certificate
  • – Minimum of five years’ experience in technology applications to schools
  • – Strong knowledge of and demonstrated successful experience in technology integration and current and emerging technologies
  • – Strong knowledge of curriculum and the alignment of technology with district strategic plans
  • – Demonstrated understanding of the role of the library program in supporting and advancing student achievement through technology
  • – Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in and the management of all administrative and technology support services for academic achievement
  • – Demonstrated ability to integrate media and technology into teaching and learning
  • – Ability to enhance, promote, and advance the use of information technologies and platforms
  • – Demonstrated effective staff and public relations skills
  • – Considerable working knowledge of computer operating systems used in the district
  • – Demonstrated proficient use of standard software packages and student information systems
  • – Minimum five (5) years administrative experience strongly preferred
  • – Minimum five (5) years classroom teacher experience strongly preferred
  • – Salary negotiable, based on experience and qualifications
