The Village of Freeport announces that it intends to submit an application for New York State Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program funds on or about October 30, 2017 for the following project:
Industrial Park Modernization Study
Activity: The Village of Freeport is requesting Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding to study the Industrial Park area, develop a strategy to transform the area into a modern and resilient business center.
Objective: The study will identify and address the vacancies and underutilized spaces, develop strategies to attract innovative and complementary business, develop and maintain a long-term vision and plan for the park and identify infrastructure improvements and/or design elements which will be needed to defend current and future assets against tidal flooding.
Location: Village of Freeport, NY
Amount: $500,000.00
A copy of the application will be available for review at 46 North Ocean Ave., Freeport, NY 11520 during normal business hours.
All citizens, particularly persons of low- and moderate-income and residents of blighted areas, as well as those affected by the project are encouraged to submit their comments, views and proposals by October 27, 2017 to the Village at the following address:
